Blood and Brain Tissue Donation for
Research, and the Tissue Resource Centre
Much of our
research at POWMRI would not be possible without
community-minded people donating blood for biochemical and
genetic studies, and their brains for research into
neurodegenerative disease when they die. This includes people
without these disorders in order to be certain about any
abnormality detected. There is no other way of studying the
molecular and cellular events involved in human brain
disorders, and we are extremely grateful to those people who
consent to help us with this research.
