Technical Assistant
Applications are invited for appointment
to the position of Technical Assistant
within GRA, an NHMRC enabling facility.
GRA provides a central national facility
for establishing, distributing and
storing human genetic samples (cell
lines & DNA). The successful candidate
will be required to support laboratory
activities by assisting with the
production of immortalised human cell
lines and DNA isolation for subsequent
genetic analysis.
Essential skills:
TAFE qualifications in Science;
laboratory experience including sterile
cell culture techniques; good
communication and record keeping skills;
ability to work within a team
environment.
Desirable skills:
Previous experience in blood processing,
DNA extraction, cell line establishment
and reagent preparation.
